Reading some of the comments on the Netflix blog, I'm stunned how many ignorant customers Netflix has. People blame buffering issues on Netflix instead of their ISP. Many seem to blame Netflix for the price hike, limited instant viewing selection, and the delay between when a DVD is released and when it is available via Netflix. The fact is, the MPAA is to blame for the latter issue.

The MPAA and RIAA are both out of touch with what customers really want and are unable to embrace technology. My guess is that the movie studios will drive all but the pay-per-view services out of business only to offer their own poorly designed services at horrible prices. This will result in an increase in piracy.

I agree that Netflix is getting an unfair amount of moaning. Their streaming service, which has more variety of TV shows and movies than any standard cable package, is still a fraction of what people pay or have paid for cable.

Walmart is now offering streaming movies, but as a pay-per-view. IMO, Netflix should off pay-per-view service for premium new releases in addition to their current unlimited streaming service. That way, they could offer more new releases.
