Approval but no PR card?

Let me start by saying I'm incredibly greatful to have been approved.

However, it's been nearly a month (approved June 29th and approval letter sent July 1st) and no PR card yet. It seems that most people get theirs a week or two after approval.

We filed thru VSC and were processed in Alexandria, VA.

Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, Mine was approved and a "package" sent out June 7th (according to Immigration website). Nuthing to date!!

Filed Thru VA.

Wow, good to know I'm not alone but still disturbing since it seems you got approved 1 month before we did. Have you tried calling USCIS? If so, what did they say?

You need to call the misinformation line and chase it up... IIRC, the approval email says something like allow 30 days for card receipt then call us. That's erm... this Friday coming. If you ask, I believe that they are meant to give you the USPS tracking number so you can see what's going on.

Is your name on the mailbox? Some letter cariers take it upon themselves to deliver or not deliver mail based on who they think is living at that address and not the fact that the letter is properly addressed. Happened to us. So make certain the post office know who lives there and who is to receive mail at that address becuase it might have been returned to the USCIS and you will get a notification e-mail if you signed up to e-notification. If not then you must call the misinformation line to see what is going on. Our GC arrived 3 days after the interview approval. At least now they are using a trackable method of delivery and should be able to tell you what is going on.

USCIS lost my wife's signature, but didn't tell us that until we called to open an investigation. Eventually, they sent a letter explaining that the signature was missing along a new biometrics appointment notice. Might have to call again, though, because we're still waiting for the card several weeks after the second biometrics.

BTW, the cases status online still says that the card production was ordered on May 12.

AOS:

03-20-2009: Married in San Diego (wife: F-1 visa and Chinese citizen, husband: US citizen)

03-29-2009: USCIS received AOS packet

04-03-2009: NOA1 issued

04-23-2009: Biometrics appointment

05-20-2009: EAD received

06-08-2009: Interview, approved

07-06-2009: GC received

ROC:

03-09-2011: I-751 and supporting documentation mailed to CSC via first class mail

03-14-2011: I-751 delivered (5 days to go 55 miles!)

03-16-2011: Check cleared

03-18-2011: NOA received, one year GC extension

04-04-2011: Early biometrics in San Marcos, CA

05-12-2011: Card production ordered! (no email notification, though)

05-17-2011: Approval letter received (approval date 5/12)

That's "within normal parameters"--Pras received approval 2009/05/15, but the mail was "yellow-sticker diverted" to our new address and arrived 2009/06/18. Her 10-year GC was received 2009/07/03.
