Why does it take so ling to get approval for choice of agent!

Hello everybody,

I am applying for my Mother IR-5.

My petition was approved June 16, came to NVC only July 15th.

Number was assigned, e-mails attached and invoice received, choice of agent was e-mailed at the same day.

Received instructions on-line only July 25th, e-mailed scanned copy choice of agent signed by beneficiary again. Only after that AOS bill was generated on-line and

payed right away. July 27 showed as payed and AOS papers were mailed by overnight mail.

Choice of agent still not approved yet, called operator was told it didn't show that it was

received, e-mailed again multiple times.

Was told that it takes time to approve it.

Is it normal? I see many people get approval right away.

I am not sure what is going on?

Any thoughts?

If you just sent the DS-3032 July 25, you need to relax. It takes a couple of business days to approve, even longer when NVC is backlogged. I'd suggest you stop sending multiple copies to NVC and just wait.

I sent my firt e-mail about choice of agent in July 15th.

When I called them today, they told me that it didn't show that it was received.

That's why I am concerned, because some people got their cases later than me and already have their choice of agents approved......

Did you follow the template exactly in the wiki here on VJ?

Which email address did you send DS-3032 to? Did you receive auto response email from NVC for receipt of your email?

Finally, after multiple e-mails and telephone calls today they sent me an e-mail that they received my choice of agent form and designated agent will receive further instructions....
