Hi, new to Vj, great site, thanks to all.

Need help with a question on the G325A form. Ok, I am just starting the Visa process, already married. Filing a I-130 w/G325A attachment. On the bottom of the G325A form it ask reason for submitting this form and gives selection as, Naturalization, Status as Permanant Resident, and Other (specify). I am not sure how to answer this, can anyone help? I am thinking "Other" and specifying I-130, would that be correct? Thanks in advance for any help, only thing left for me to resolve before sending my submission. Feel free to email me directly if you want, but I will be here regularly also (smile) Looks like for a very long time too!

Hi! Welcome!

I'm not filing a K-3... only an I-130 so if you are also then you are correct.... just put "I-130 petition"

YuAndDan, OP was asking about the I-130, not I-129F (K-3).

SupG, You can cross off "Other" and write I-130 Petition.

Incorrect. The I-130 whilst it is needed in order to file the I-129F (K-3 visa petition) has its own purpose....1) in order to be able to apply for a CR-1 visa or 2) in order to attain immigrant status through adjustment of status once in the US on a K-3.

supG

Other......I-130 petition for alien relative.

Reaoning. The G-325A is being submitted with the I-130 petition.

For your case, clicking "Other" and then write "K-3 Visa Petition" would have been the answer. But I would not worry about it at all. I don't think, they care too much about G-325A. As long as there is no blank and you signed and dated it, you should be fine.

Thanks.

It took just over two months to get our NOA-1, so as you can understand I wasn't ready to welcome anymore delays.

Thanks everyone, and yes, I caught the K3 (I-129) mistake by one of the responders, so thanks for pointing that out too. Good thing everyone said, "Other, I-130" because I already wrote that on all 8 pages (smile) just wanted to make sure it was correct before sending out. Hopefully today! Thank you all again. P.S. I will begin a timeline as soon as I figure it out...... Dave
