WASHINGTON (AP) — Illinois Congressman Luis Gutierrez again has been arrested outside the White House while protesting U.S. immigration policies.

Gutierrez's spokesman Douglas Rivlin says Gutierrez and several others sat on a sidewalk near the White House and refused to leave when ordered by police.

U.S. Park Police spokesman Sgt. David Schlosser confirmed the Democrat was one of the people arrested Tuesday. He was charged with disobeying an official order and released after paying a $100 fine.

Rivlin says Gutierrez was also arrested at the White House during a May 2010 demonstration.

Gutierrez told demonstrators President Barack Obama can't entirely blame Republicans for blocking immigration reform. He says Obama has the power to stop deporting immigrants with "deep roots" in the United States.

Better yet why do we keep letting them in. We might as well just hand over the US to Mexico and call it done.

Thats the only thing that is left now to do, hand it over.

Its just unfortunate that on an average most Americans dont care about immigration and how it would impact them years down the road.

Because politicians, school districts, etc. get more money according to population. Nevermind if they are in the country illegally.

More population means more representatives. Nevermind whether the increase in population is illegal aliens.

In TX they create new special "Hispanic" districts so they are represented. Nevermind a big chunk of the residents are illegals and guys like Gutierrez get elected by just a fraction of the residents of his district.

We have a special Hispanic city council district here in Houston where the council member is an amnestied illegal alien that spends most of her time advocating for illegal aliens (who can't vote for her, yet) while getting elected by just a fraction of her district's residents that are legal to vote.

Does it all sound stupid and outlandish? Welcome to illegal alien cheerleading and the benefits of open borders. At least it benefits the political classes, illegal aliens, and the cheerleaders that enable them.
