Wow----

this is kind of stunning---always looked upon this Day as 'Out There' somewhere--and it has arrived.

I mailed my 129F on June 30--got Noa1 in early July---today recieved 2 email notices that we are approved.

So--- three and a half months. Looks like USCIS is improving their act since the new forms came out. (I am one of those who agonized over waiting for the new form or filing with the old---decided to wait for the new)

Thank You all who helped with all my paranoid questions-----don't think I'd of had the nerve to go thru with it without that crucial help and encouragement---Thank You !!!

I'm charging my phone card even as I type---gonna call my fiancee in Kiev and waker her up with The News!

John in SC

(thinking---- Gosh--what do I do NOW??!!!! oh, Yeah---tune into Visajorney for more help ya' idjit !!)

PS----Oh yeah---- it was actually TWO and a Half months--Wow! I'll get the timeline thingy up later--too jittery now! Yes, all you CSC people--there is hope! maybe California will become the new Vermont....!

Congratulations. As a fellow who also brought a Ukrainian beauty to America I welcome you and your fiancee. Time now to get going on the remaining issues like financial support documents, etc. Also, your fiancee can download packet 3 & 4 from the embassy web site in Kiev. There is also information about where she needs to go for a medical exam. If she lives out of Kiev you should prepare her for a couple of days in Kiev with the medical exam and embassy interview. She will need a police report also. Make sure she has all her documents with the English translations.

I have some pretty good experience with this part of the process. Assuming the NVC doesn't slow down the process, your case can be in Kiev in two weeks. The embassy will contact your lady. Have her ready and plan on getting it together soon. There is an $8 fee to overnight her passport to her home (required) so if everything goes okay have her go home for packing. It takes about 5 business days for the embassy to process the visa.

Congratuations, she'll likely be here in time for Halloween.

I know exactly how you are feeling now. I was the same way 11 months ago.
