Why do continue to hide behind the flimsiest of excuses: They're worst bigots than I am, so that mitigates my bigotry and I can prove it with the red herring of semantics. That's a hoot. This is not about semantics. It's about how you come across like a lead balloon.

People who don't accept the gay lifestyle being foisted on them aren't all bigots against gays. They may be people who simply don't want their kids indoctrinated by the state to believe that butt-fvcking between men is an honorable pursuit. Let's face it, unlike the racial minorities in history that you like to compare gays to, all they had to do was be born and be black or brown. Gays have to engage in sexual practices long considered to be deviant to most members of society.

So, by definition, kids will be taught that sexual proclivities can get you into the history books. And, that doesn't stay in teh classroom, it will reverberate throughout the school system. It's meant to do just that coz it's driven by the gay agenda. People need to be free to express opposition to that or they not only lose their freedom of speech, they lose their right to free practice of religion, and most religions teach against homosexuality.

So, when you speak of irony, you need to factor in the idea that this nation doesn't only protect liberal opinions and liberal diversity, it also protects conservative opinions and conservative diversity. Celebrate that, if you can.

Yes Paul, technically speaking and one accepted by those accused of bigotry by the bigots (quite the irony, of course). And technically speaking, its better to focus on the actual bigotry being identified. Kind of funny some here would get hung up on the semantics huh? In my opinion its a defense mechanism to hide their bigotry by deflection. What opinion do you have about that specifically? It's actually been more of a debate about tolerance and bigotry. Still, the defense of gay history in schools requires the understanding that gays are defined by their sexual inclinations, as opposed to the race, gender or nation of origin of other historical figures.
