Food for thought. Lets see, libs have 9 trillion increase in spending in the past 2.5 years. Which increases the spending baseline by about 25% and repubs wanna cut 1.4 trillion over 10 years. HuH, there is no cut. Hunker down shites gonna be gettin Obamad.

I thought all you libs were pro-** and never miss an opportunity to embrace it and push it up on a pedestal. You must be slipping. Forgot to eat your Wheaties this morning? ;)

Take a look at this. You will learn something valuable. Like how to add and subtract.

Is there supposed to be a point to this thread?

It's a forum to get in your cheap shots. ;)

I don't have a problem with gays, or anything that consenting adults may choose to do.

I happen to be straight as an arrow, but that's my thing. I don't care what anyone else's thing is.

You'd think small-government, get-out-of-my-bedroom, conservatives would understand that. But alas, no. Conservatives seem to want government to mix-out only when it suits them and not when gay rights are involved. You're on the wrong side of history, friend.

Where'd Marc get to anyway?

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

I don't have any major problems with the gays. I live in an urban neighborhood with many living there. What I do have a problem with is the notion that homosexuality is equal to heterosexuality in every way and that homosexual "families" are on par with traditional families. I pity the kids raised in that delusional scenario and I am disgusted with liberals that push it and promote it.

I don't have any major problems with black people. I live in an urban neighborhood with many living there. What I do have a problem with is the notion that blacks are equal to whites in every way and that inter-racial "families" are on par with traditional families. I pity the kids raised in that delusional scenario and I am disgusted with liberals that push it and promote it.

I changed just a few of your words, but otherwise left your passage verbatim. I'm not suggesting for an instant you feel this way about interracial marriages, I am sure that you don't, but I want to illustrate a point. There were many, particularly in the segregated south prior to the Civil Rights era in the 60s, who felt exactly in this way about black/white interracial relationships. Times have changed, we had the Loving Supreme Court decision which overturned state laws discriminating against interracial marriages and families. The times are catching up on the issue of gay marriage as well. You are rapidly falling outside the mainstream with views such as yours on gay marriage.

I don't, personally, "push and promote" gay marriage. If I "push and promote" anything, it's the right of all Americans to be afforded the constitutional protections we are all granted, without exception. Black, white, straight, gay, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, atheist, whatever. I thought you conservatives were all about the Constitution, no?

Anyway, looks like we derailed Marc's circus thread with this hijacking :(
