@staceluvyou....thank you

@life'sjourney....i read in some reviews of the Kingston Embassy that some people got pink slips meaning that their applications were approved. And some were disappointed when they received a blue slip.

Those were probably old reviews, Kingston only give out white for denial reasons, and blue if they wish for a 2nd interview. Otherwise they will tell you up-front approved or denied.

Nope, nope nope. As evidenced on here and seen by myself, lately, they DO NOT TELL YOU that you are denied at the US embassy in Jamaica. You have to figure it out for yourself. They say 'your fiance will tell you' in essence, and that the file is being returned to the USCIS. No white paper! No 'you are denied'.

That is why these poor people are confused and don't know what to do after their fiance's interview is over and they get their passports back. The IO say very little. You just have to figure that if they don't keep the beneficiary passport, you're screwed basically.

And DOS will not say much either. They will tell you "the file is being reviewed. Its in AP". Only when it reaches back stateside, they will have any real information for you which is still not much. Wish you all the best.

Slim, when did you have your interview at the embassy? They are told in essence that a visa will not be issued to them at this time(they are denied), most of the Beneficiary are in total shock as to what is happen that they are not listening to what is being said to them.

Also I have been on this board since 2008 and have read each and every denial, some are not as detailed as the rest. I have read past history, i.e the Yardie Thread that goes back to the beginning of posting information about the process in Jamaica.

Just because you're told a visa is not being issued to you TODAY does not mean that your petition was DENIED. I've had two family members told the same thing within the last 6 months and they're both int the states now. They were never told that their case was DENIED or given a reason or a blue slip -- just told the case was being sent back to USCIS. One K-1 the other a CR1. In the past, not sure how much has changed now, blue (return) with more info; pink (approval); white (denial); and sometimes green not sure what that's for. I know they still use the BLUE slips -- not sure about the others. Alot has changed over the years and I've been dealing with the US embassy in Jamaica for a very long time.

Best of luck with your journey,

One Love -- Lawny

....when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead LOOK beside you and I'll be there.....

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Recent post split from 3-year-old thread, moved to the Caribbean regional subforum, and given the title "Jamaica Interview: got white paper; what's next? [split topic]."

This ancient thread is now locked.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
