Congrats!

I am not sure if you went and applied for your SSN at your local SSA office or not. In case you haven't, you need to do that. You won't automatically receive an SS card. You should go about 2 weeks after you enter the US so your name is more likely to appear in the database by then. It will take 1-2 weeks to receive your SS card in the mail after you apply for it.

In the meantime, you can read the guide for AOS, and start getting your documents prepared: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

Follow the AOS guide and send your AOS in. You do not need an SSN to send AOS.

Arriving with a K1 the SSN is not sent to you. Even if you check off the box. You must go the Social Security office and apply. Use the information in the Guides area to help you.

Congrat's!!! I am very happy for you and your wife. Yes do check the guide for AOS. I do recommend going to the SSN office ( for getting your ssn card) bringing your passport/Visa/i-94, proof of residency such as gas bill, and your marriage certificate.I am sure you could also call the SSN office for other requirements they may have. Bendiciones!
