Hi my Thai friend and I will be applying for removal of Conditional Residency next year, but her Thai passport is already expired,does she needs to renew it prior to application? I renewed mine prior to coming to the US so I have no problem like this, but we both don't know if needs to renew hers,We are both in Alaska so she might need to travel a long way for renewal so we want to be sure.Thanks for reading and replying

She does not need to renew her passport.

8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Passport isn't required for RoC, but without it she won't be able to leave the US. Considering that family emergencies crop up randomly, it's always wise to have a valid passport so I would take steps to get it renewed as soon as it's practical to do so. :)

RoC Interview: Not required

RoC Approved: 08/04/2011

10 yr Green card received: 08/10/2011
