Questions for vj members who had their interview in Thailand US embassy

Greetings vj members!

I'm soooo happy. US embassy replied immediately and sent packet 4 only for a week. They scheduled me for an interview this coming 10th October. For those people who had their interview in the US embassy (Thailand) recently could you please give me some ideas on what to expect during the interview? I'm not Thai. Will I receive equal treatment also? Are they too particular with another nationalities?

Packet 4, they stated some enclosures like DS-230 Part II, Application for Immigrant ( They didn't include it in packet 4), Visa and Alien Registration (Sworn Statement), Supplemental Information Letter. I received these documents when I received packet 3 and sent them back. I do have photocopies of all of them. I understand that I must bring the photocopies during the interview. Am I right na kha?

How should I pay the visa fee in the post office? I will just go to one of the post offices and tell them I want to pay US VISA fee. Do I have to pay in baht or US $?

What is the best way to communicate in the US embassy by phone or e-mail?

Thank you so much in advance for all those people who will answer my queries.

Goodluck to everyone.

Sqirmy,

congrats on your interview date. My wife sent her packet 3 in 2 weeks ago and we have not heard anything from the Embassy. How did they notify you of your interview date?

Where are you from? Do you live in BKK? Maybe you can help my wife. She is freaking out!

-Brad

Thank you so much! The US embassy sent me a notification letter including some documents and instructions that I have to bring during the interview. It was really fast because when I sent it they replied after 4 days. I was sooo happy! I live in Pathumthani, quite near Don Muang Airport. I'm from the Philippines. My fiance has started my application since February 2005. Yes, I would surely help if I can. Tell her to take it easy...I'm quite anxious too.

Best of luck to both of you. :) Keep the faith alive!
