We are planning to do landing and come back next day and permanently moving after 1 month.

Do we need a list of goods to follow list/items with price?

Is there any money declaration form that we need to fill so we can/will in future transfer money from Canada to USA without taxing as a part of immigration?

Thanks,

What type of VISA will you have - your profile does not indicate. Most moves do require a list of your belongings (Let's say you have a UHAUL). If you are accompanying your belongings a spreadsheet will do. For larger ticket items such as electronics they do ask for serial numbers (cannot remember if value is required)

What happens 99% of the time is that you have your list ready and they don't even look at it....Murphy's law :)

We are moving with immigration visa. First we are doing landing then moving after a month. We are doing car import paperwork while landing.

Do we need to get "goods to follow" list stamped by US border officer that we can use while actual moving?

How about money declaration and later transfer to USA?

You will have a multiple entry VISA (ie: you're married)? If you're K1 though - it is a 1 time entrance VISA - meaning once you enter you cannot leave the US until you have married and received AP or the GC....that's what I was referring to.

Have not ever heard of a 'Goods to follow list'.

Depending on the amount of $$$ you plan on moving, most of us have used something like Custom House or just withdrew our money and moved it to a US account. I personally got a few money orders to the tune of several thousand and mailed them to my husband who deposited them in our US bank account. Depends on how much you plan to bring. $10000 rings a bell - I would google the maximum amount =- hopefully someone chimes in here.

You don't answer the questions so we cant really help you. You need to tell us what exactly the visa is. Of course its "immigration visa" but WHAT visa is it.

The $10,000 refers to Cash you carry on your person over the border, not cheques or bank drafts

We have employment base immigration Visa. Border Officer is going to stamp I-551 (valid for a year) stamp on my passport.

1. Good to follow list - Do we need to declare the unaccompanied articles (house hold goods) while immigration landing?

http://www.schumachercargo.com/docs/3299.pdf

http://forms.cbp.gov/pdf/cbp_form_3299.pdf

2. I think we need to report more than 10K and does not matter what form. Do we need to declare at the time of landing how much money we are planning to bring in next few months so we are not penalized by US-IRS or CRA (already paid taxes)?

------------------------------------

http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/vacation/kbyg/money.xml

"You may bring into or take out of the country, including by mail, as much money as you wish. However, if it is more than $10,000, you will need to report it to CBP. Ask the CBP officer for the Currency Reporting Form (FinCen 105). The penalties for non-compliance can be severe.

“Money” means monetary instruments and includes U.S. or foreign coins currently in circulation, currency, travelers’ checks in any form, money orders, and negotiable instruments or investment securities in bearer form."

That form has to do with if you are not accompanying your own stuff when it comes across the border - as in you have a mover doing it. If you have a mover, you have to provide the mover with a copy of your VISA.This does not sound like your situation.

If you are returning home to Canada and then driving your stuff over the border a simple spreadsheet will do the trick.

I am curious though - what type of work VISA? You sound like you're moving permanently and yet you only have a temp work VISA?. As noted as above you can bring up to 10K without declaring it.
