It's not a baby yet. It is just a collect of cells, much like a tumor. Do you have a problem with removing a tumor for any reason?

To me its more than just a bunch of cells.

This poll needed an anti-choice answer picked finally. ;)

I couldn't vote because there was not a pro-life option.

Just the part where Some Old Guy's daddy forgot to use a condom. Didn't realize that hypothetical arguments where against the TOS these days. The bar seems to have been lowered. Can I have a yay for censorship redefined?

I myself have been a victim of censorship so I feel your pain. Not by Kathryn though. I sent my complaint to the big man but never heard anything back.

And one user who decided to repeat a personal attack after the warning has been thread banned.

That would be my choice. You know why? Because if a baby was born prematurely, at less than 22 weeks old, the doctors will not even try to save it.

Regarding pain a fetus could feel, it is possible between 18-29 weeks of development in various opinions. SO if you agree that abortion up to 18 weeks is fine and a woman's choice, yay for you.

As for the choices we impose on others, it is more of the matter of what kind of people we are rather than what kind of opinions (right or wrong) we have. For example, I may feel that it would be the right thing to castrate all rapists (of whom majority is male). After all, they have a choice not to rape. You will not see me campaigning for it though. I will not mess with other people's rights to their bodies.

How would you define established? The point at where it could survive outside the womb? If so why was that the deciding factor for you?

No no no. No it is not your business. You are entitled to an opinion, you are not entitled to compromise the rights of other citizens.

Yes yes yes. This should be everybody's business. I think that making this issue all about the woman and her choices is a neanderthal sort of approach.

Most pro-choice people wont even start at that point. I feel as it is now its all about the woman and the moral issues are being ignored. Why cant we as educated people quit making this such a black and white issue, its not all about choices. We have a situation were both sides could win, adoption.

I'm not imposing anything on anybody. I'm arguing that we should be taking immoral options/choices off the table.

Who's rights are you talking about here, just the woman's rights? IMO the rules change when you bring another life into the equation.

Could you please explain how giving birth and giving baby up for adoption is a win situation for a woman? Then take a step back and try to imagine if there may be ANY cons to that adoption scenario as far as woman is concerned. You can't imagine any? Not surprised. Google pregnancy symptoms. Then google pregnancy complications. Then google postpartum depression. Still don't see any reason why going through pregnancy may be not a good choice for a woman? Google the cost of prenatal care and birth and call you nearest medical insurance provider to find out that a woman CAN NOT get a private insurance if she is already pregnant. Not convinced? Look at pregnancy leave options provided by an average US employer. Read articles about effects of pregnancy on relationships in the marriage (not good, unless both parents wanted that baby a lot).

Yes, taking what you consider an immoral choice off the table equals to imposing your morality on others.

I am talking about man's right to his testicles. Much as I think that it would be only fare if a rapist lost his, I will not impose my morals on rapists.

Simpson, you are very definitely imposing your morals on others and doing so in a way that puts you in a very immoral position.

Well sure in your twisted way of looking at the situation. The last time I checked trying to save a life is not immoral. You do know that on a daily basis we as a society are forced to follow others morals right? Why is it you wouldnt give our legal system that same label?
