Hello i recently returned from a trip visiting my husband in Lagos Nigeria and i found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant. I'll be filing the i-130 petition next month but i wanted to know if its necessary to mention that I'm pregnant with our child within the petition and maybe proof showing that i am pregnant? Or is it something i don't have to mention until i actually give birth. I'm due until Feb 2012.

If you should have a early pregnancy issue then it might be easier not to mention it. If things go well you will have a child, but having a child is not proof of a bonafide relationship to Lagos, it is proof you had sex.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Contrary to what you might believe, a pregnancy is not proof of a bonafide relationship, it simply means you had intercourse

USCIS doesn't recognize the child until it is born, it may come into play when you do the I864 but until then there is nothing you need to do. There isn't even place on the I130 to list 'unborn children'

Good luck

Thanks for the comments. Also i never said my pregnancy was proof of a bonafide relationship i was only asking if it was important to mention it. Or if law required i mention it. We have ample amount of other evidence which proves our marriage is bonafide. Once again thanks for the comments.
