hi all,

I have lurked around this site for over a year, using the many helpful resources, but have never posted. Now my girl and I are getting closer to the date (we expect her to be called to the Embassy within weeks/months), and alot of questions are still on the table regarding the K-1 visa. So here goes:

1) Originally, I was planning on sending her alone to Bogota, Colombia (she lives in Cali) for the interview, or with her mom. However, recently I have heard through the grapevine that lots of fiancees who make the interview/trip alone are being denied the Visa. Can anybody who has been following these matters diligently that they are denying alot girls who "go solo"?

More information: we have been dating for 19 months, and only have two weeks of real face-time between us: the trip I made to cali in March 2010.

2) Anyone who has done their interview in Bogota: can you give embassy specific advice?

I have more questions but don't want to overwhelm on my first post :)

Thanks in advance for any counsel
