Hello everyone. This is regardig my U.S.citizen Wife's parents from India. We recently applied for I-130 about a month ago with all the supporting documents etc etc. Her parents are in India.

Basically, I was looking at their paperwork today and found a mismatch. Following is the question:

1. My mother-in-law (wife's mom, still married)

- The birth certificate shows father's name as SHANKERLAL(first name) XXXX(middle name) YYYYYY(last name)

- However, in their passport and marriage certficate the name is spelled SHANKARLAL (pls notice the difference of E to A in both the names). This is purely b/c of the clerk's lazyness and also

mistake on our end that we didn't catch this.

So in their I-130 form I used mother's father name = SHANKARLAL while on the birth certificate it says SHANKERLAL.

Do guys think that it is a big issue for a married women's name b/c she no longer has her dad's name???

Should we just go with things as is, or start correcting many differet records??? Any advice would help...

I hope I have not confused you guys. Thanks in advance for your help.
