Hi all! Sorry if this question has been asked before. Anyway I went to college in the US and after graduating in 2007, I did Optional Practical Training (OPT) and Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) OPT (because I got a degree in one of those fields). In all I was there for about 6 and ½ years. When I moved back home in late 2009, I applied for a visa to go visit my then girlfriend but she is now my fiancée (I met her while in the US). I was granted a 5yrs multiply entry tourist visa. It was during my last visit this yr that we got engaged and before I left we started the K-1 process. I just realize it might take me a year to see my fiancé again because the K-1 is long process coupled with the long wait in Ghana for an interview date. I was hoping that, because I went to college and did my OPT in the US my K-1 process will be adjudicated faster but I was told it wouldn’t. Bummer  it wouldnt even help me at the embassy level? humm

Anyway my question is that, since I have a 5 year multiply entry tourist visa, can I go back and visit my fiancée without any problem at POE? I just came back and I am thinking about going back in December. I was there close to 6 months and this December will be 6 months since I came home.

thanks

Nope, your previous visa and stays in the US are irrelevant and won't speed anything up

No one can tell you how it will be at the border, best to travel with ties to your home country to make the crossing easier...and of course always tell the truth

Good luck
