K-1 to AOS

Hello, VJers, My fiance and I are still awaiting our interview date, but i was looking at process for AOS to get a head start since our last process is now out of my hands. We are getting married 11/19/11. I have spoken with my officiate and will have notorized marriage cert. in hand right after ceremony so that on that Monday we can get AOS started immediatly. So i am seeing in the AOS processes, my fiance will need medical which he had done during our K-1 Packet 3 process, and I-864 for myself the petitioner and my co sponsor which he also took to his interview, and he will need criminal record. Will we have to get all new proof of these things or will all he has already be on file and we wont have to duplicate? Thank you

For the Affidavit of Support, it's a completely new form than what was used for the K1 visa... but it's a simple enough form. I filled that out, and then included a copy of my tax returns and W2's as evidence of income.

As for the medical, he went to a civil surgeon here with a copy of all the medical stuff he had from when he got his K1 visa. The civil surgeon simply looked him over, documented his vaccinations (which he had copies of), and then signed and sealed the form. He didn't need a full medical again, but he did need the civil surgeon to document it all on the I-693 form. (At least, I think it's the I-693 form!)

USC sponsor and co-sponsor will have to fill out and sign new affidavits of support.

The medical will be on file and won't have to repeated (if filing for AOS within 1 year). However, if his shots were not completed and documented on DS-3025 at the medical, he will have to get the missing shots and have them transcribed to I-693 at a civil surgeon.

He won't need a police certificate for AOS (they do their own checks).

You will need CS to document your medical form and put in sealed packet, the I8654 is a swearing you will provide support. A lot of repeat of prior submitted information, have fun at your marriage and congratulations.
