Does Jamaica pick the interview date for you?

So i finally sent the DS-230 via email after waiting 1 month to receive packet 3 and getting nothing so i downloaded the form instead. Anyways i emailed for an update and below is what they told me.

Dear Madam

We have received the DS230 form and have updated the system accordingly. As soon as the system generates the interview date you will be notify via postal mail.

So after reading this i am worried because i asked if they can send me the invitation and confirmation of my date via email since apparently im not getting theit mail in my P.O box but they didnt respond to this question yet.

So Jamaica pics your interview date for you?

Yes, the Jamaican Embassy selects the date for you. Your SO will be required to have her medical in Jamaica as well.

Please note, the USC is not allowed to attend the interview in Jamaica.

We got the same email when we sent in our DS 230 form I called DOS to find out our interview date...it took them a lil over a week to assign us one after the email.

K-1

9/23/2010 NOA1

3/31/2011 NOA2!!(189 days)

6/06/2011 Interview Approved

AOS

7/29/2011 AOS and EAD sent by USPS

8/01/2011 NOA date

8/15/2011 Biometrics walk in (appointment for 8/29)

9/26/2011 EAD Approved

10/4/2011 EAD in Hand

10/18/2011 Interview Green Card Approved

10/28/2011 Green Card in hand :)
