Hi Visajourney, okay on June 6 I received a email checklist asking for the whole DS-230 package. I was waiting for the police record from my wife so I had to wait for it then send the DS230 package. NVC received the entire package on July 12 but did not review it yet. Then on July 13 I got an email from NVC again asking for the entire DS230 package. I called NVC and they say to just ignore that email, it's just a reminder. And today I received a 3rd email from NVC asking for immigrant visa application Part 1. I then called NVC and they say they know nothing about the DS230 Part 1 email checklist that they sent to me. I even called them twice just to talk to another operator to see if both operator are saying the say thing. They say they are waiting for the DS230 to be reviewed. How come they sent me an checklist email referring to DS230 part 1, is part 1 missing? Since I got that checklist email, shouldn't the operator know something about it? I am so confused, I double check triple check everything before I mailed it in, all 4 pages of the DS230 was stapled together. There is no way they only receive part 2 and not part 1. I also check the ds230 application to see if I filled out something wrong or left something blank. I checked so many times, nothing is wrong with my application. Anyone ever experience this? Thank you for your input.

Sign and dated, I made a copy before I sent it in. I checked everything many times, even my agent looked at it, nothing wrong, have no idea why they would ask for part 1 of the ds230 when no operator knows nothing about it. Could it be a false RFE???

Congrats. I submitted my DS-230 on July 18 and NVC received on July 20 but I haven't heard anything yet. Case completed means that your spouse is waiting for an interview scheduled? I plan to give NVC a call some time next week to ask for the status of my case.

I just called NVC today and our case has been completed.

Wondering if you were told the same thing, that all dates in August are booked and to check back in mid-August (16th or 17th) to see if an appointment in September is available.

BTW, as for the false RFE, I got that too. Probably because our I-864 was sent and delivered a few days before the DS-230 was sent and delivered. Thus, once the system posted the I-864, it automatically generated the RFE for the DS-230 because it didn't see it in the system.

Got the same rfe, sent ds230 a little after i864, as well. Btw, how long from when you mailed ds230 till when it was approved by nvc?

i just called, it said my case was completed yesterday, the 29th as well!

So, what's next, just wait for the interview letter (or call frequently to check)?

I would call but not so frequently, no matter how much you call you still have to wait for the interview date, it will not speed up the process. I have seen many cases recently once case is completed, NVC set an interview date and notify via email within 2-3 weeks. I'm not so sure so don't take my word for it, I just read some of the posting of those cases on this website and Vietditru.com.

Guess I'll call occasionally. I just don't want to be stuck not calling and finding out the interview date with short notice. I read in another thread, someone called and found out the interview was in less than 3 weeks, if he hadn't called, it would've been even less notice.
