My driver license will expire in Sep.

I don't like to go to our local DMV office. It's always crowded and waiting forever.

What do you do when your driver license is going to expire? How long does it take to get the new green card?

What state do you live in? Most have an option to renew online. Check out the DMV website for your state... or this website: http://www.usa.gov/Topics/Motor_Vehicles.shtml

They would only give my husband a 1 year license in NJ because his 2 year conditional residency would have been up before the normal expiration. He had to renew and show them the NOA1 extension, and they only gave him another year. When he gets his GC they will give him a new license with the proper expiration date.

I don't believe he would have been able to do this online. He had to go to DMV. It is always crowded at the beginning and end of the month. A weekday morning is generally better.

ah... no fair. One thing I don't miss about NJ is dealing with the DMV... that is, until I had to deal with the OMV here in LA...

wel there is some thing new that even you go to the DMV you will not get your D-License same day they give a temporary ,and now day they send you in mail within 10 days , how i kknow becoz today i went with my wife to get a ID which she lost and they said now they mail it in 10 days...... :(:unsure::unsure::secret:
