We are here at the civil sergeon and the question is that if my hubby has records of tetanus vaccination which we don't because he provided all that when he got here k1 visa at the airport.

So I guess he has to retake it but not sure if that is bad for his body. Pls if anyone know let me know. Thank you

Tetanus is given 1 time every 10 years.

Get a titre test done to test the immunity do not just go getting a bunch of shots if he has already been given shots.

That was my concern too when I did my medical examination. I told the nurse that I was given an MMR and tetanus back in the Phils but the document was taken when I arrive at Detroit. So what they did was they did not give me an MMR and did a blood test to check if I really have the vaccine. After 3 days we came back and the nurse confirmed that I have already taken the vaccine. They have indicated this in the I-693 form. Ask your CS if they can do a blood test first just to be safe.

tetanus shot is safe unless you are allergic to it. once you get the vaccine,it's good for 10 years. localized reaction is very common, swelling and tenderness on the injection site which usually resolved in a few days.
