I have a question concerning question 30 on the ds 230 form. What if there's only been one place you ever lived for longer than six months? How do you write the date?

Do she simply write on her birth date at the age of 16 to present OR date since birth TO PRESENT?

(30. List below all places you have lived for at least six months since reaching the age of 16, including places in your country of nationality. )

My wife is turning 26 this coming Dec. and she turned 16 on Dec. 2001. So should she write on line 30?

DEC, 2001 - PRESENT

OR

DEC, 1984 - PRESENT

You're driving yourself bonkers with reading too much into it. SINCE reaching the age of sixteen.....so if she's lived in the Philippines the entire 10 years since 2001, then it would be Dec 2001 to present.

I agree the instructions need to be a bit more user friendly, but it is what it is.....good luck!!

I lived in one place my entire life and I answered with my birth date and put PRESENT.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Yes she turned 16 while she is living in that place in 2001 but the fact is that she has been living in that place continually since 1984. So the correct answer is "Dec, 1984 - Present".

10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.
