Embassy called me and gave me impromtu interview

The ISL embassy called me to verify our relationship. Not a big deal bcos everything is real between us and he simply asked same questions as my husbands at interview, how we met, how long did I stay in Karachi, when we got married, how I converted and why, why I divorced, who paid for my trip and if I was on his facebook page, asked if I've been back to pakistan yet, I said no I haven't worked at my job for 1 yr to get vacation time but I've been saving money for a trip as soon as that yearly vacation comes.

Then he apologized and said that our case is fine but the reason he checked this is bcos of the many other cases they see that are actually fraudulant and that while technically he can't tell me we are approved he will say that we have nothing to worry about with our case it all checks out they do not need anymore documents from me so our i 864 is accepted and there is one last thing to be done before they issue visa and that is the computer name check. Said can't give time frame for this but when this is complete everything wil be done

He also explained that the name checks go thru the computer...if it comes back clear then nothing else has to be done, if it comes back with a hit they enter data until they get to the person they are searching for.

Inshallah yeah new to me too but I appreciate the desire to be sure everthing is correct and the CO was very nice and laughed when he asked if i knew urdu so i said a few things I knew and then I said.... Nahi Adil Peta hai.. ... and soon you will get interview... they schedule the first week or two of the month and sometimes if your're really lucky they may get you an end of August date..but Sept for sure! They tried to get Adil into an end of may but they were already booked with sibling cases that last week...

Yeah it was crazy lol but it sounds really good.. he asked a few questions

when did you meet

when did you meet face to face

when did you marry

when did you convert... did i do it just to marry him? ..then asked me to tell him about the experience

asked me the 5 pillars of islam

why did i divorce my first husband

how long did i stay in karachi

who paid for my trip there

have you been back yet

are you on your husbands facebook

then he apologized and explained why they do these kinds of calls as there are men from paki that have fraudulant intentions and only seek to be in the us then apply for their first loves.

Then he said to me that he doesnt require any further documents from me, so my i 864 was accepted after the requested document verifying household was reviewed. Also told me that he wanted to let me know that while he cant say technically we are approved that he can tell me we have nothing to worry about now.

One last thing for my husband now is the namecheck..he said he couldnt give me a time frame but it could be soon if there are no hits on his name...but if there are any hits they just have to clarify those hits are not him...

He said to me don't worry about anything now just wait for this one last check to complete

That was it... I wish he had called me on the day of the interview instead of waiting 6 weeks but at least he called now and while I know he didnt say approved.... his statements several times of evthing is fine, you have no worries on your case makes me feel very good andthat he will be here soon!!!

I have seen cases like this before for people who have been put in AP. Most of the time its not too long before you get approved.

Thank you so much.. I pray your right he sounded sincere that our case is now validated thanks to ALLAH and that we have this one last check and he wll be here soon!!!
