My fiancee' has been told that she could not make a medical exam appointment until she rec'd the police certificate, than later told that she could make the appointment before receiving it, but had to bring the police certificate with her. The instructions on the Knightsbridge Doctors PDF file mention, passport, pictured DL, passport photo, but nothing about bringing the police certificate. Do the clerks know what they're talking about? I'm trying to help her avoid postpoining the exam, needlessly since it may not arrive by her medical exam appointment time. Experience advice, anyone?

Yes you must have the Police certificate to go to the medical in London. I know it says nothing on the websites and we have no idea why, believe me it has been discussed. She may be allowed to go but if she doesn't have the Police certificate she will need to fax it when she gets it and they will not send her medical results to the embassy until they receive it. Easier for her to just bring it with her. A copy of it too btw and the original. Always bring both so one can be left behind but the original retained. We think this has to do with looking for signs of mental health issues. Just a guess pointed out by some. Best of luck to you both!! :thumbs:
