Immunizations

Hello, can someone tell us about the immunizations my fiance and 2 kids will need and what type immunization record she will need coming from the Philippines? I am very confused of this. Is it best for her to get the shots during her medical or start them before hand? Anyone know how much the shots will cost? Thanks

My understanding is that K-1's don't require vaccinations prior to entry. Not sure about the child, but you can check the Manilla consulate website and they will show what vaccines are required.

While agreeing with the previous post, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing all required vaccination in Philippines. You can do it during your Medical. They will evaluate all the prior immunization and will offer you to do remaining immunizations. Do it! It becomes major pain in the butt when you come to US when adjusting status. So, just let them go to Medical and t3ell them to do all that they recommend.

I agree with SanDiego, your medical at St Lukes will update all your vacciinations as required and it's included with the physical fee. Ask for a copy of the record while there. Jim.

I agree fully with the two above, the hassle factor will be lower as will the medical costs both in time and money. You could at least get them started and get the boosters over here. Best of luck!!
