I got the # of the back of my cashed check from the Vermont service center and logged on to the case status web site and signed up for e-mail notifications. Just wanted to ask if after signing up I should receive any e-mail verifying that I have been signed up. I have not gotten any touch e-mails yet which I don't necessarily expect and no other evidence that the process worked. I'm not the most computer savvy guy in the world and don't have 100% confidence I did this right. Does any body know if I should have received a e-mail saying I was entered in the system?

Thanks

Flygi,

You won't receive an email for a touch. Emails are only generated when the status of your case changes. Touches are seen when you log into the USCIS website and see the last updated date has progressed, but without a change of status. There is a lot of debate and speculation as to why a case gets touched!!

Good luck on your journey :)
