Hi, can anybody tell me if my income does not meet the poverty guideline requirement of around 18,000 per year and my dad fills out i864 to fulfill it, does his income combine with mine to meet the requirement, or he has to meet the requirement of 18,000/year on his own? thanks

First, you're posting in a K3 forum about an I-864. The I-864 is not used for a K3 visa. I expect you are on the CR1 visa path, not K3.

To answer your question, the joint sponsor must qualify on their own based on their own family size. The just over $18,000 figure is for a household of two, you and a spouse. Your father would count HIS household plus your spouse, so the income requirement may not be the same.
