I have received email from NVC that my wife's packet 3 is mailed to GuangZhou China, I am wondering what kind of document she has to prepare and bring with her for interview. also usually how long it takes before she get notified for interview? We have mailed my 3 years tax return, AoS, marriage certificate, her birth certificate, no crime certificate etc, about 2 inches thick document to NVC already.

we filed for IR-1 for her. I used up all my vacation time for the year already, if i don't go with her for visa interview, it that ok ?

You will need the police certificate at document intake. How many years have you been married? If less than two, it's the CR-1 visa that will be issued.

hey - welcome to Visa Journey !

mailed? really ? EEK and OUCH - no Electronic Processing for you.

When you get a moment, please fill out yer timeline, and be accurate with your profile for filing location.

Happy to answer any questions once you get some hard data set up.

Based on 'packet travel type' - I'll guestimate that she'll receive a packet 4 with interview appointment letter sometime in late October, early November, for a December Interview date.

Welcome Aboard !

They will want a full copy of your passport all pages including blank pages. Phone logs, chat transcripts, your work ID's if you have any. Any documents that she is a beneficiary for any 401k's, life insurance etc. Wiki Evolution of relationship letter you will want her to have one of those at interview time. Save all receipts for any money sent. Airline tickets, boarding passes, hotel receipts stuff like that.
