Sending clothes to the U.S.

Wife and I are preparing for her interview (and other related aspects). God willing, if all goes well, we're looking at the possibility of sending quite a lot of clothes back to the U.S. We already have been told of a company here that would be able to send them by ship, and if the rate we were told was correct, it seems like a very good deal to me.

Now, the problem is the importation. If I understand correctly, we have to clarify for each article things like which specific type of clothing it is, where it was manufactured, what its method of manufacturing was, and what material it's made out of. I was reading off of pages like the following:

https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/762/kw/clothes

https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/363/kw/clothes

http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/bychapter/index.htm

Or am I looking in the wrong place? It almost sounds like that is for commercial importing, but I can't seem to find anything else for household goods.

Anyone else done this before? Thanks.
