I filed for a P-3 visa for some dancers in May. The processing time on the USCIS website is 2 weeks. CSC received the application on May 19, 2011. They sent me a RFE on June 28, 2011, I received it July 3. Based on the dates listed on the forms, it was issued on June 14, but not mailed until June 28. CSC received my new documents July 8. On July 19th I requested the process be expedited based on the criteria listed on the USCIS website. They told me they would make a decision regarding the expedite request, and notify me via email by July 24. I have yet to hear anything form them, and need the dancers here on August 13, and they still need to attend an interview at the consulate. I contacted my Senator on July 2nd. Any suggestions or advice? Does it normally take this long?

Thanks!

Where are you looking at to find 2 weeks? I have never heard of a visa process only taking 2 weeks! theres no way you can go through USCIS, NVC and an embassy interview in another country in 2 weeks you cant even get the mail to the other country that quickly!!

Just a quick look up online using google I found that P-3 visa takes aprox 1-3 months to be approved.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

thanks for the advice.

expedite criteria from uscis website (my company falls under one of the below categories):

]"Expedite Criteria

All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted at the discretion of the Director. The burden is on the applicant or petitioner to demonstrate that one or more of the expedite criteria have been met. The criteria are as follows:

Severe financial loss to company or individual

Extreme emergent situation

Humanitarian situation

Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States

Department of Defense or National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government)

USCIS error

Compelling interest of USCIS"

Interesting.

I can not think of any possible justification for an expedite.
