as to my plans, I had anticipated much of this silliness about 4 weeks ago, but I buy equity stocks, not anything with a retirement plan or 401K portfolio. Short term, I cashed out, holding cash for a bit until the commodities season starts up for puts/calls on silly things like pork bellies and coffee.

My plans are always fluid, as is not just one thing, or one investment strategy that I follow. I've got over 50 percent in commercial and residential real estate, all bought at 20 to 22 percent of appraised tax value over the last 3 years - so it's kinda hard to pin a label on my portfolio. Overall, it's up, about 650 percent since the first of the year, but my yearly plan is always pegged at 900 percent growth. If I make more, it's a plus.

I'd love to hear more concerning your real estate gains. So if more than 50% of your portfolio is real estate, are you telling us that you've bought real estate at 20% of last year's appraised value, and now you're up 325%? What have you done to it to make it appreciate so much?
