That would be a miracle Barbara J! Pretty sure I'll continue to panic...about this and many more things in the near future  Seems to be a constant state these days. Thanks for the positivity!

I see where you are coming from. No, Jamaica isn't a hard country to visit, but I have a son who I need to bring with me, that= at least $1000 per trip. I also have to take off of work to visit. I'm not made of money. I have the incoming calls from him on my phone log, but that's only a couple of times a month, it's much cheaper for me to call him with my calling card.

There is nothing I can do now about not having the records from the calling card. I was just looking for advice about what I could do and how many months of phone records would be sufficient.

There is nothing cheap about this entire process...!! You still have K1 filing fees, medical interview fees, travel fees, marriage fees, then the AOS filing fees after you get married, (and then more later) not to mention he can't work until he gets his employment authorization. Phone records are just a very small amount of evidence. Bottom line is you have only what you have. You can't manufacture anything differently. Hopefully, you have enough other evidence. You should be able to complete a timeline of evidence from the time you were engaged and since then. Especially after filing your petition. It is indeed possible that phone records will not even come into play. I suggest you focus your energy on what you CAN do and not what you CAN'T do. With that being said, you need to get your affidavit of support ready with your tax returns. He needs to focus on all of the forms he will need to fill out to so that he can petition for his K1 (along with your affidavit of support).

There are police records to obtain, birth certificates, any education records he may want to bring with him, medical interview, etc.. etc.. etc..... Focus on the positive side of this and the rest will work itself out.

Good Luck

Phone records are only 1 type of evidence. My fiancee and I can't talk on the phone. She's got a lousy cell provider and I can't get through to her from a land line or my cell in the US. Just provide more photos or other evidence and if it comes up in the interview, explain the situation. Should be alright.

+1  We didn't send any phone records simply because my hubby uses a sat phone for work and the number would change frequently. Instead we opted to show other things to prove that we have a strong relationship and we were approved a few days ago. Your case won't be made or broken on one type of evidence so just focus on the quality evidence you have and move from there. Most rejections are "Perfect Storm" based. By that I mean that one question wrong usually won't result in a denial but when there are multiple red flags AND a wrong question, that can result in a denial.

Some of what we used were pictures (with family and friends), boarding passes, selection of emails totaling 3 years, affidavit and a printout from his company showing that I had traveled with him on the ship for 5 months and other proof (which were wedding related which you won't have now).

Start talking about the potential red flags you may have in your relationship and then try to show evidence that rebuts those flags.

Thanks! I know it is not a cheap process, that is why I am putting my money where it is needed most. I wish I could fly down and visit more often, but then where would the $ be for all the filing fees etc? I'm working on all of the paper work needed for his interview, 3 years of tax returns, pay stubs, getting employment letters written, mortgage etc. He already has his police record, birth certificate, passport ready. I'm feeling pretty good about most of it, just kicking myself for not thinking about the fact that I could be calling ANYBODY with the calling card. I only use it to call him, so it was enough evidence for me LOL!

Thank you for your reply! I feel like we have good evidence, and he will represent us well at the interview. All the little details are just overwhelming at times. I'm sure it will all turn out fine. CONGRATS ON YOUR APPROVAL!!!!!

I would also suggest using bossrevolution.com. They provide almost instant record that you can print out and it is less expensive than the international calling plan on your cell phone. Keep allt he calling cards and the records of you cell phone that indicate you called the calling card numbers. They know that most of the people use calling cards. Do you have any chat conversations, pictures or proof of money you have sent her? All these things together will help you provide the evidence of the ongoing relationship.. Good luck!

I've always called my fiance with a calling card. I called the calling card company today and they told me I could not get records, if I wanted them I would have to contact an attorney. I immediately set up an international calling plan with my cell phone company (they provide records online), but I have no way to prove past calls from calling card. I have the calling card and proof that I used it on my cell records, but it does not show who the calls were actually made to. My petition is at NVC now, how long will it take until the interview? How many of months of phone records should be provided at the interview? Will the calling card and proof of use on phone records count for anything??? I'm so stressed!!!

How about e-mails; birthday, Xmas, Valentin cards over regular mail.

Also, did you use your cell with the card? If yes, you can get phone records of the times and durations and correlate that to your call. You can put together a spreadsheet. Not ideal, but better than nothing.

It is not quantity but quality what you need to provide during interview.

If you have sent money, I would assume Moneygram, Western Union, Xoom; they all provide receipts. Any trips?

Are this cards a one use or the ones you 'refill'. If one use, You do have the used cards, do you? If a refill, it's usually done with a CC, which will have record of payment and as before correlate to your own spreadsheet.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, we have some cards, no email-he doesn't have access to a computer. I have been using my cell for the past 4-5 months, so I can prove calling card times and duration. I have visited several times and have all proof needed of the trips (boarding passes, itineraties, photos, etc.). I have been using the same calling card for quite some time and refill it. Yes, I have the card, I sent a copy of the card and cell records to UCIS, they didn't have a problem with it as evidence. I'm just worried that the interviewer will be more critical.

Your imput and focus on solutions is greatly appreciated!

THANK YOU FOR THE IDEA ABOUT CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS! I hadn't thought of that, that would at least show that I was spending more per call than domestic long distance. Could help! Certainly couldn't hurt!!!

Use a combination of evidence, cards, letters, emails, gifts, photos sent back an forth. see postings for averages on time lines.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

He can't top-up for the month then it will be more cheaper for him to call you and you won't spend that much mo9ney on phone cards.

Went my husband went for his K-1 interview they did not ask for any phone records or ask to see any pictures so it is possible that they may not ask for phone call records.

I've heard a few people say they came all prepared and barely had to show anything.I hope we're as lucky as you!!! I'll just have to prepare as well as I can and include everything I can for the interview. I'm sure it will be fine. We have a lot of good evidence and we really do know each other very well, i'm sure that will be evident in his interview.
