Hi all,

Thank you all for all the guides and other topics that I've gathered information on how to do the AOS, I'm about to send the AOS package this week but still have some questions about previous employment in I-765 form.

I'm a student, so have been working on campus since when I came here. Work is legal and I file tax every year. I have a SS card that says 'for working only with DHS authorization'. On I-765, question 11 asks if I've ever apply for employment authorization from USCIS.

1. Should I choose 'yes' or 'no' (beside the on campus work, I've never applied for any other employment permission) ?

2. If I choose 'yes', I have no idea what the date was. What should I put there?

3. What should i choose on the top of the form: "Permission to accept employment" or "renewal of permission to accept employment"?

4. Should I attach my tax return form with the application?

TIA.

On the wife's, I answered *no* to question 11. I also selected "permission to accept employment" and did not attach a tax form to the I-765.

She also has a Social Security card that says "subject to DHS authorization", and she was legally working for the university under her J-1 status. She's filed the 1040-NR each year that she worked.

They did not question any of it, and she got her EAD after 64 days.

Care,

Bill
