Hi fellow Canadians,

I just read alcearosa's account of her Calgary medical and am just short of freaking out. I feel for you, girl! I was not aware of any "breast" examination or "peeks" down south as part of the examination!!! If there is anyone, esp. female, who can tell me what their experience was like with Dr. Morgan that would be great. I don't like surprises when it come to medical examinations!

Everyone @ Dr. Morgans office was great .. When you get there you fill out a couple forms and hand them back .. Then go down the hall to the lab and give your blood .. then back down the hall to have an Xray .. then you wait to see the doctor ( i had time to go get a coffee ) He is super nice .. they give you a paper blanket and you take off clothes ( leaving bra and underwear on ) when he comes to see you his nurse will be there also .. he listened to my heart ect ect regular things .. gave a fast breast exam ( through Bra ) and felt my tummy a little .. the sheet didn't move below that . He has a great sense of humour .. it wasn't nearly as bad as i had anticipated ! Then you pay .. and go back @ 2 pm to pick up your results .

Of course it Varied by Doctor. But for Woking medical Services ( Dr Morgan ) It's 275$ Canadian for an adult and 125$ for a child that doesn't require blood work and Xrays

All I can say is show up early because when they say your appointment is at 6:00am they really mean for everyone to show up at 6:00am because it's first come first serve.

I would bring a book.

Yep, show up for 6AM.

Bring lots of reading material. The tests start around 6:30 after everybody has checked in. Blood work, X ray. Then wait.....in for the exam somewhere around 9AM or so. You have to wait until around 1:30 to pick up your results. It's long enough to go for lunch somewhere, which is a welcome break. Stretch the legs and pass the time. The couches in the lobby aren't too comfy and reading material is a must.

Staff is friendly. If you have your case number ready for them they appreciate it.

$275

When I went, they told us to be back at around 1:30 or so to pick up our results.... well, it was raining outside so I walked and got something to eat and then came back ... me and this other girl who was there for her medical too chatted in the downstairs lobby for a bit and then decided to head back upstairs... it was probably like 12 or 12:30pm or so....

We were prepared to sit and wait for a bit... when the receptionist lady called us over and handed us our medical results.... :)
