Hi All -

I don't know if this is more of just a venting thread but sometimes it helps to know that others feel your pain. Misery loves Company or something like that.

So here goes:

I submitted my K-1 Visa petition to the USCIS at the end of May. (Yes I know only 2 months ago but hey that's two months in the past right :) ) This site has basically been my lifeline to try to keep in touch with my petition and to learn of where it is in the process. BUT it is still showing as "Accepted". It doesn't show in the "Initial Review" status or anything like that. Each day I sign in to My Acoount and I close my eyes and pray for a status update as I hit enter to veiw my case and each day I still see that stupid blue dot showing "Accepted". I have called once or twice and each time they tell me EXACTLY word for word what the website says.:wow: Seriously, I am not that stupid. So then they ask me if the funds have come out of my account to pay for the petition and I provide them the date and amount and they always answer that my petition began processing on the date to funds were taken out of my account. OK?! Umm so why not update the website? Or am I missing something? Is there another place that I am not aware of to get a little more informaitno on my case?

Curous what experience others have had with the site and getting a status update of any kind.

It seems to me that they put that capability on the site to help inform us without making us initiate a call to them. BUT if they don't keep the info updated then of course we are going to call which then makes the website irrelevant. :bonk:

Hope you don't mind my venting.,Super frustrated.

Kim

You will never have a status update unless you get an RFE or your case is approved its just how it is. Half the time they don't update it anyways. Its a privilege not a requirement for them to provide us with the process tracking.

Your only at two months, you wont see anything for another 3 months if that.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I'm sorry you're annoyed! I totally understand! Everyone on this board is in a similar position, it's all a waiting game. Thats why my signature reads "let the waiting game AND ensuing madness begin"

I'm afraid I have to concur with LNKY's post though...you have a few more months to wait and also, bringing someone from Pakistan is not going to be easy peasy. They're kind of really strict on males from countries in the Middle East, from what I've read on this board.

You will make it though, it is just going to require a lot of patience. But with love, anything is possible (L) (L) (L) And you always have Vj to discuss and vent, of course B-) I am sure you find other people who have gone through the same and can kind you and give you tips.

The great thing is that you've found love and in this life, it's not that easy to come by. Worst case scenario if the wait gets to be too much, you can visit there for a few months.

Good luck!

Hello Karen,

I can relate to your frustration. USCIS approved our CR1 petition on 06/20/11 and to this day, USCIS website still reads:

Initial Review

On March 16, 2011, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Our petition is now with NVC and I do have our NVC case number and IIN. Yet, USCIS website still reads as noted above. Sometime in June, I called USCIS to obtain an update (this was how I found out USCIS approved our petition - no email or text received to date). I posted steps I took on this link http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/298782-csc-cr-1ir-1-march-2011-filers-are-you-there/page__st__255

Hope this helps. Good luck to you!

At least your seeing it was accepted LOL we filed in Nov of 2010 and NEVER EVER EVER ONCE saw anything except case can not be found up until March 23 when it finally read we have sent you a letter approving your i 130 petition ....from the information I was able to obtain from a TIER 2 rep.... the amount of time it takes to update the system would require employees to work on the site and they would rather use their time working on the petitions...therefore when an update can be made it will...

Hey, their website isn't the best thing in the world, for some people doesn't change at all.. in my case I saw our NOA2 there, before my baby got the text, it worked great for us (at least to see the approval lol  ). Don't worry about the website, really. If you can get them to change it to what's ''normal'' as Initial Review, great.. if not, oh well. You will hear from them, I'm telling you.

As for the waiting, no one can help you really.. only advice is to stay busy, and focus on your relationship, to make it work and stay beautiful, this will carry on to the future. Good luck :)
