Need Help ASAP

All the Dr's off the website I have called, say I need the full med exam, and have not heard that K's just need the supplement. Can anyone link me to where it states that? I have looked, and I can't find it.

The Dr wants me to fax her my worksheet, and they USCIS document that states that K's don't need a new full exam!

see p. 4 of the I-485 instructions:

C. Fiance(e)s.

If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who

had a medical examination within the past year as

required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you

only need to submit a vaccination supplement, not

the entire medical report. You may include the

vaccination supplement with your adjustment of

status application.

ARGHH, I faxed the info the Dr requested, along with the instructions that says K's don't need a full medical, this am. Call just returned, and she said she can only give me the supplement in a full exam! I called the Dr's in Birmingham as well, and they both said the same thing!

Other then these 3 dr's, there are no others in my area!

Sorry to hear, that's very frustrating. Did you ask them why?

Do you have a vaccination worksheet from the doctor who did your medical for K1? Its a DR3025 - I only sent that in with my I485. Since no RFE was received, I went to the interview without an I693. No problems here - Denver, Colorado. You could try the same - no guarantee who they ask the I693 from though. Good Luck

This has been a much debated topic - the need for the I-693.

My reading of the various forms has led me to believe that the I-693 is only required if you didn't get all of your vaccinations done before entering the USA. The K-1 process allows you to defer some, if not all, vaccinations until your AOS. motu seems to fall into this category.

In my wife's case, we submitted a cover letter that explained why we were not submitting an I-693 - because all of her vaccinations were done in the UK.

No RFE was received, and the AOS interview is scheduled for less than 2 weeks from now. I suppose we'll get to hear at that time whether there is an issue with this approach. Worst case I see is that she'll get a conditional approval pending us providing the I-693. Best case is she'll get the I-551 stamp.

Well! I took a look at her vaccination worksheet and she has only 2 vaccinations - marked as completed;

6 marked as Not Age Appropriate and 3 marked as Insufficient Time Interval.

And at the bottom of the worksheet the boxes that are marked are:

Vaccine History Incomplete! Followed by the box that says the applicant may be eligible for blanket waivers ... ... etc.

So! She doesn't have all her vaccines done - just 2.

I still don't know why they ask some people for it and some don't unless the embassy didn't forward their stuff to USCIS because everyone (or most people) had to go through the vaccine check in their country. Good Luck
