6 weeks since citizenship interview

It has been 11 weeks now and no word from USCIS.

Have your online status changed? Did you call them? They could have forgotten again... Mae of David-and-Mae called them eventually, and got scheduled like the next day. I waited for my interview to be scheduled forever, called them and got scheduled a few days later. Sometimes you have to remind them of your existence

I did call 2-3 weeks ago and asked to talk to an officer, they did connect me to one. He told me that the case was "approved" and that I had to be patient because they needed to "have" a certain amount of people for the oath ceremony! It didn't sound right somehow! My online status never changed from "testing and interview", so when I told hint that, he told me "forget about the online status". This process turned out to be more frustrating than I thought!

It's silly, but may be they have certain regulations as far as how many people have to be at the ceremony... Not much you can do right now. If nothing changes in a couple of weeks you can call them again. I hope it will not be necessary.

I know how frustrating it can be, I've been in this for almost 7 months now and have no idea when my Oath will be yet.

You know what, I think they do try to come up with certain amount of people to swear in. I think that's what happened to me. Just keep on bugging them with phone calls You can also do the service request online if you think your application is past the processing time.

Sherif, I have read some threads here and there talks about the same issue nearly, alot of delaying happen because they want to gather alot of ppl for the cermony or the office is busy ,etc

If you are sure you are approved, then nothing but to wait, I know waiting sucks when it come to USCIS, but just be patient

Well I would imagine I am approved, I am sure whoever answered the phone doesn't really care for my feelings .

So I called again to "remind them I exist" and talked to a 2nd tier officer or whatever, she told me that she no new information and that the case is "under supervisor review and it is recommended for approval". I think by the time I become a citizen I will need mental treatment!
