How many is too many to bring to the interview?

My attorney said to only take 2 from each month we have.

We had so many left over that we printed out at the photo store, how many is too much?

How many emails are too much?

Also the photos she made us pick out were only of me and him together, I have photos of him in them with just my brother, and photos of him at my house but just him in it. If you look at another photo you can tell we were there at the same time at parties, just nobody in the pictures... She said these are NOT okay.

i think 2 for each month is a good number. and i would leave out any photos with 1 person in them. only use photos showing the 2 of you, or showing him with your relatives, or you with his relatives. These are especially good if you have supporting letters from those relatives testfying to the validity of your relationship.

Too many photos, or photos that look like they were taken specifically for this process (ie photos with 1 person in them) may raise a red flag at the interview per a fraud checklist that I saw floating around the forum somewhere.

Pictures together and together with family members are what you need. Solo pics, or solo pics with family, are not very helpful. Pics together with family carry lots of weight. The most important thing is that the pics should span as much as your relationship period as possible (their date is kinda important) since they are a proof of a "continuing relationship".

At the embassy stage it is all about proving that there is a good/strong "continuing relationship", so the dates of the evidence you present (pics, emails, letters...)is waht is important.

Having said that, applying for the 129F petition (USCIS) is different than appying for the visa it self (embassy stage). A petition approval is not a visa approval. Whan applying for the 129f petition, all you really need for approval is just to proove that you have met once in the past 2 years. But when applying for the visa it self at the embassy satge, you need much more evidence to proove a "continued relationship" to get approval of the visa. But it does not hurt, in fact it is good, to "front load" your petition at the early stage.

Good Luck

Your lawyer is wrong. Photos with your fiance with your family members are important. Include the ones with him & your brother. Bring as many as you can, if you bring a lot of evidence they prob wont look at it but you will be ok. If you just bring 2 pics from each month they might look more at your other material.

If the CO asks you the one you left behind, I don’t think you will get another chance to take them again to show the embassy. I hope you been waiting this much for that critical moment, so take as much as you can. If they didn’t ask you, it is not a problem. If you are asked to show them, you will be happy by having it with you. I recommend you to take them with you.

Good luck
