Green Card, what to do with the EAD/AP Card

Now that my wife has her Green Card, does she need to carry her EAD/AP Card with her or does the Green Card serve as the EAD card as well?

GC serves as both. She can destroy the EAD card or save for the ages. It's also invalid now that she has a GC. Congrats on approval!

You need to hand over EAD/AP card when applying for citizenship along with any other cards you have been given through the immigration process 2yr GC and 10yr GC.

The EAD/AP card is void since you have the green card.

Also, another question..

My wife just returned from a visit back to Colombia.. She left using her AP, but before she returned, I received her new GC. When she came through Immigration in Houston, They gave her a new I-94.. The I-94 is stamped with a Parole Stamp.. It says "Paroled until 19 July, 2012".. What is the significance of that date? And how critical is this I-94?

The green card trumps everything, Brother K.

I took Mrs. T-B. on a day-trip into and back from Mexico with use of the AP, and her green card was in the mail to her at that moment. Once we had the card, the AP form became a matter of curiosity or an "antique." I want to frame that AP form, if I can find it.

Congratulations to Mrs. K. on her green card, si man!

I suggest you do what 99.99% of all the people here do: keep the EAD card and the 2-year GC in a safe place and in 2050 given them to your Grandchildren, nicely framed, as an irreplaceable heirloom.
