Hello! I need help on how to expedite my EAD. I just filed my AOS last July8,2011 and i got the biometrics appointment on July 28,2011. I got this job offer at the grocery store last month from the manager, but i told him if he could wait till i get all my papers done. He said yes and insisted that all i need is a SSN, but of course i know that under K1 visa i still need the EAD.

Thank you in advance!

If you AOS goes like ours and based on the BIO timeline it is going about the same. Your EAD will arrive about 26 days after the BIO appointment of sometime in mid-August. I do not think expeditng will make that much of a difference, but you can try. It took a total of 96 days to get the GC and 46 to get the EAD/AP card after USCIS received the packet. You appear to be on the same track as us.

Good luck,

Dave

Well i already have my ssn since june, but my card says I'm only allowed to work with DHS authorization, I think they are referring to EAD..
