K2 AOS PENDING, CAN WE TRAVEL WITHIN USA?

My son's AOS application is still pending, we got an RFE last month, where he needs to have another medical and TB test. We just submitted the RFE last two weeks ago and his case is under RESPONSE REVIEW on the USCIS site.

My question is, can we go to Chicago, to visit my brother for a week before the school starts again this August.

I believe, pending AOS can travel WITHIN THE USA. Right?

yes, just make sure to have with you the AOS NOA, just in case you guys have to go through a CBP check.

Chicago is within US state...i dont think it would be a problem...Upon arrival here in US, Ive been in different US state without a problem, dont have AOS that time yet =)

+1

We were driving from Las Cruces back to Phoenix and went through a check point. Even though my wife had a driver's license, they still asked to see the paperwork which we didn't have. They were cool about it but told me next time that the wife has to have the paperwork when she travels. Stupid I know but its the government.
