WE ARE JUST WAITING ON AN INTERVIEW DATE FOR MY STEP DAUGHTERS FROM THE U.S. EMBASSY IN NIGERIA, CAN THE PAPERWORK EXPIRE BEFORE THIS PROCESS IS ALL COMPLETE? I KNOW WE WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE TO DO DNA TESTING ALSO ONCE THEY GO FOR THE INTERVIEW AND THAT PROCESS IS A LONG PROCESS ALSO. WE STARTED THE PROCESS BACK IN NOVEMBER AND THE WAIT IS TOO MUCH TO HANDLE AT TIMES.

THE GIRLS BIRTH MOTHER HAS PASSED YEARS BACK AND THEIR FATHER IS ALREADY HERE IN THE U.S. THEIR GRANDPARENTS ARE TAKING CARE OF THEM FOR US AT THIS TIME UNTIL WE CAN GET THEM HERE. MY MOTHER AND FATHER IN LAW ARE UP IN AGE AND TAKING CARE OF THE GIRLS IS ALOT FOR THEM. MOST OF ALL MISSING THE GIRLS AS YOU ALL KNOW IS THE HARDEST TO DEAL WITH. WE KNOW GOD HAS HIS HANDS IN THIS PROCESS AND IT WILL HAPPEN OF COURSE NEVER AS FAST AS WE WOULD LIKE...

May Everyday Be Blessed

I presume this is not for a K2 visa. A K2 follow-to-join can only be issued within a year of the K1 visa, and according to your timeline that deadline passed more than a year ago. So, I assume this is for an immigrant IR2 visa.

The approved I-130 never expires, but some of the supporting evidence usually does have an expiration date, such as the police certificates and the medical exam. If you're delayed by other requirements, such as a DNA test, and any of the supporting evidence expires then the consulate will ask you to get updated documents. The visa also needs to be issued before the child's CSPA adjusted age is over 21.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!
