A friend in China told my fiancée we needed proof of engagement and to bring this to our interview. Is this true? What does GUZ need here? She already has a ring on her finger.

Not True.

If you have a receipt for the ring have her take it to the interview.

My fiancee just had her interview 6 days ago. She wasn't asked for any proof of engagement. She didn't even wear any jewelry :)
