Waiting so long for NOA2

I read many times the chats here and that helped me. I knew that me and my fiance are not the only couple going through the emotions, frustrasion waiting. Congrats for everyone who finished well this long process. We are waiting for our NOA2 and its been alreday 60 days, i am geting worried :( . Any advice, words to make me undersand why it takes so long? We want to call USCIS on monday. Thank you! :help:

07/18/2011 - Mailed I-129F Petition

07/21/2011 - NOA1

10/18/2011 - NOA2

11/14/2011 - Packet 3 Received

02/14/2012 - Interview (3 months?!?!)

03/02/2012 - Passport w/ K1 received!

03/03/2012 - WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG??!!

I feel your frustration. Did they aknowledge the receipt of your RFE? 8 weeks is a long time after responding to a RFE, but again this is the VSC (which is usually very slow), and it is summer time (usually very busy time of the year). But as long as they aknowledged that they have received you RFE responce, then your are on the right track, and hopefully will get the NOA-2 very soon. I would aslo call and make a service request if you have not done that already.

Thank you for answering and for the wishes! Yes, they got what they asked for on 24 may, our status on USCIS site is request for evidence response review since that date... Yes it is a long timeee, that is why i started to get worried but i hope nothing is wrong and as you said it is all about them beeing very slow. We are going to call them and see what they will tell us and hope we will get the approval soon. Best wishes to you too and thank you again

If those 60 days are after the RFE sent back to the USCIS, you probably need to talk with agent by call the USCIS or setting up InfoPass appointment.

Yes the 60 days are after the RFE was snet back to them... we will do that next week. Hope they just forgot about us and that is all :(. Thank you

I just recently got an RFE for that question too, it seems several people here missed it too. I am wondering if they start the background checks around then, and so they want to verify that answer about criminal activity first. Don't know for sure, but background checks are a big variability in the time it takes, especially if the name checks bring up possible matches and they have to dig a little deeper.

Good luck Lavi, sometimes there's no rhyme or reason. Who knows maybe you got the unlucky straw from the beginning and got stuck in the backlogged adjucators pile, or you got a common name that matched in their database and it took longer to unmatch it.

In any case hope the wait ends for you soon!

Ohhhh #######!! Stupid confusing forms!! I just went back and checked and I accidentally left that question blank. We just got our NOA1. Can I send in something ASAP to correct the error before they send us an RFE???
