Packet 3 and Consulate Received

Hey Guys,

My case was processed, approved and left the NVC, my question is how do I know if the consulate received it. I'm a bit worried because it contains our original documents. And what is Packet 3 and when are we going to receive that do I need to have any other documents ready for that packet?

any answers would be much appreciated!

Packet 3 is 'all the work' you did at NVC.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Hello Tr3sh4,

There is no automatic way to know when your package will reach Dhaka Embassy. However, I saw an article that will give you some sort of peace in mind. Follow the link below (someone insanely smart probably figured this out)

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/194465-how-to-track-your-case-from-nvc-to-embassy/page__hl__DHL

And with your information, you can somewhat find out about a packag leaving NVC going to Dhaka embassy (not 100% certain though).

Package 3 is for DCF applicatints ( I think ), and your husband will receive a physical letter from Dhaka Embassay with instructions, also known as Packet IV. You can also send an email to Dhaka Embassy and they will email you with the packet IV as well. If you haven't done that, I would recommend doing that (DhakaIV@state.gov). They will send you a questionaire document and pass you this link http://dhaka.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas.html. All those original documents (birth, marriage certificate and both english, bangla kabina nama) will be handed over the day your husband will pick up his passport with visa. After interview, once your husband get's the green light from the CO, he should ask for the two, 1) SIgn the PART II of DS 230 and 2) ask when he will get those originals back. Again, once he hears the confirmaton from the CO.

Good luck for August 15 and hopefully it wouldn't be an issue as it's the mourning day for the father of the nation!!!! Just checking !!!!

Thank You Hellraiser once again!

I already came across this post on how to track packages from NVC to embassy yes and I do agree with you that whoever came up with it, is a genius! I received my packet IV so I have nothing to worry about except the interview. Thank You for your well wishes and I know August 15 is a very important day in our nation..I know it sounds horrible of me but I hope I'll be celebrating that day and not mourning!
