I am not sure what you can do, but I would wait to find out from someone who knows. I don't think it's a good idea to just skip the interview. It might cause you problems if you later want to apply for another visa. If no one has better advice, I would recommend going to the interview and telling them that you and your fiance are having problems and you no longer want the visa. That's only if you don't find a way to do something about it before the interview date.

Good luck!

JUST DON'T GO TO THE INTERVIEW.

It's EZ to wanna take the LAZY way out and not just go to interview, but not the best way.

OP needs to send a brief letter to USCIS/ NVC / EMBASSY explaining in simple terms why the relationship did not work out, and requesting withdrawal of the affidavit of support.

Notary service NOT required.

Good Luck!

If you are the visa beneficiary, your absence in the interview will shut the process down immediately. That said, if you are the petitioner, you need to formally cancel your petition through USCIS.

Please tell me how can she go to the interview if she doesn't pay for the visa fee up front, aswell as not having the required documents in hand i.e 134 form.

Again, don't go to the interview, you are not obligated to attend.

OH DEAR....so sorry, but try to imagine how hard it is to wait and wait some more...forgive him..talk to him...let LOVE win...this is such a trying experience..and I think the USCIS and this process tries to weed out those weak links....show them how strong you both are, I hope I don't sound preachy...but boy is this process a trying and difficult one,,,,KEEP STRONG...and trust your heart..(L).

\\Please read her post, she has stated she is the Beneficiary, she cannot cancel the petition.

Or you can go to the interview and tell the embassy that you want to cancel and don't want to get the visa.

Good luck

How will she get in the embassy if she doesn't have the required documents?

I think you should not go to the interview. They'll assume you're not interested. And it will put an end to the process

If she goes she will have to pay the $350 just to tell them she doesn't want the visa anymore? It doesn't make sense

Send the embassy an email requesting that the visa be withdrawn. I had the same problem before except I had petitioned my fiance, I called NVC they told me email the embassy send them a memorandum for record sign it and forward with your full name and case number. The embassy will send you an email stating they confirm the cancellation and return the application with all documents to NVC, NVC return it to USCIS and then you get an letter stating the application has been cancelled it took about 4 months for me to finally get the cancellation memo but either way they did not see him during the appointment time.

Hope this helps,

Oohhh that changes the scenario... :ot: I guess is different from USEM to USEM in Lima, you only pay inside the Embassy

:ot2:

Well then girl, you just go and tell them you don't want the visa anymore...

But I hope you two can workout your issues, this process isn't easy for any of us, neither the petitioner or beneficiary. It's a lot of stress, and sometimes when we are mad we say things we don't necessary feel. Best of luck with any decision you take!:thumbs:

Understand that you are the Visa beneficiary.

Ideally, you should make contact with the Embassy/Consulate nearest your location in Mexico to cancel the process. If you do not wish to do that, just fail to appear for the interview. The process will end by default.

Regards,

William

Contact CDJ in writing and let them know your name, case number, interview date, etc., and tell them your relationship is over and you no longer wish to apply for a fiancee visa. If you don't live near Juarez, then traveling there just to attend and say you don't want the visa seems like added expense and stress that is not needed.

You can call them as well, but you should send them letter and keep a copy of it.
