I think your cover letters are excellent

However, if I may, I would like to add that when it comes to evidence of a bona fide marriage, USCIS does prefer to see comingling of financials lives. I would defintely add proof of joint bank accounts, joint cell phones, joint health insurance, car insurance together as well as mail received at your place of residence with both of your names on it.

I read on VJ from a lady who was friends with an actual USCIS IO that, as far as they were concerned, affidavits of support didnt weigh that much in convincing them that the relationship is real, but that comingling of lives and finances did , because when it's real, people put their money where their mouth is. Dont get me wrong, I think you should send your affidavit of supports ( I did send mine!) but it's more of secondary evidence, add common financial assets to your petition.

Wishing you the best of luck and I hope everything turns out great for you two :luv:

You should be posting here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/130-adjustment-of-status-from-work-student-tourist-visas/ as your profile indicates you are AOSing from a J1 visa

The Affidavit of Support is MANDATORY and is most definitely a criteria you are judged on. Failure to send it, or failure to meet the 125% for your househould size will result in an RFE and a denial if a co-sponsor is not found.

I believe you ACTUALLY mean Affidavits from family and friends attesting to their relationship. THOSE aren't as important. Also be aware the OP is AOSing from a J1 which is different to those AOSing from a K visa and has different requirements.

Any payment statement works as a proof or I have to call the company and ask for a letter?
