I'm a medical social worker and I'm seeking advice on helping a patient of mine. I have no experience with immigration type issues. My patient has been diagnosed with terminal cancer & wishes to visit his home country to see his family and then return to the U.S. for end-of-life medical care. I'm not 100% certain of his immigration status but I'm pretty certain he does NOT have his green card. Many years ago he did have an Authorization for Parole of an Alien into the US. Time is of the essence so I'm not certain what I should do. Should I work with his country's consulate to try to expedite this? Should I go directly to US Immigration? Please Help with Any Advice. Thanks, Blynhi925

As thelastpetitioner said, more info is needed on the immigration status, then take it from there, but you are on the right track, if you cannot get too much info from your patient i would then talk to the consulate. It is a great thing that you are doing, good to see a real act of Human kindness these days. Thank You.
